Chinese box dream
the departed cannot cheat on
they will not make it for dinner
tomorrow
limbs made of numb excitement
tear my soul embracing me
hunt my beloved pain
on and on
Telling me the same old story
asking for the same old favor
I can only fear and regret
in the limbo of my bed
try to move on with their corpses
and guilt tied to my waist
I drag their decomposed bodies,
eternal mourn,
and never ending complaint:
“if just…”
I see their absence in a desert
healing silence I sit on
realizing how much I’d miss them
when I become one of them.
